Crohn's disease activity can be measured using two types of indices;
Crohn's Disease Activity Index (CDAI) and the Harvey-Bradshaw Index
(HBI), they are both particularly important for use in research trials
as they demonstrate how effective treatments are at controlling
Crohn's disease. CDAI is used to quantify the severity of Crohn's
disease using symptom scores that are monitored over one week
