Thoratec Announces Presentations at Upcoming Investor Conferences

PLEASANTON, Calif., June 6, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Thoratec Corporation (NASDAQ: THOR), a world leader in device-based mechanical circulatory support therapies to save, support and restore failing hearts, said today it will be participating in two upcoming investor conferences.

On Thursday, June 9, the company will participate in the Goldman Sachs 32nd Annual Global Healthcare Conference. Gary F. Burbach, president and chief executive officer, will provide an update on the company beginning at 9:20 a.m., Pacific Daylight Time (12:20 p.m., Eastern Daylight Time).
