Shopko Launches Mobile Pharmacy App to Maximize Customer Convenience

GREEN BAY, Wis., Jan. 10, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- With increasing demands for time spreading consumers thin — whether it's working longer hours or shuttling the children to and from their many appointments — running errands has become more of a challenge. To make life simpler for shoppers always on the go, Shopko announces the launch of its mobile pharmacy app, allowing users to quickly and easily refill and manage their pharmacy prescriptions anywhere, anytime from their smartphones. 

The free and easy-to-use app, available on the iPhone, Android and Blackberry platforms, maximizes customer convenience by enabling users to handle all of their pharmacy needs with their smartphone. With the new app, customers can now request refills, review active prescription details — including expiration date, refills remaining and overdue refills — set up dosage reminders and receive email/text notifications when a prescription refill is ready. Additionally, the mobile app includes a "Pharmacy Locator" feature so customers can locate and get driving directions, while also checking hours of operation for the nearest Shopko pharmacy.
