iLeverage Announces the Successful Sale of the BICO Patent Portfolio for Near-Infrared Non-Invasive Blood Analytes Measurement

SAN FRANCISCO, Dec. 13, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- iLeverage (www.ilvrge.com), a leading patent broker, today announced the successful closing of the Biocontrol patent portfolio sale.

The patents were offered to companies that participate in the relevant markets as well as to a number of IP licensing companies. After announcing the auction date on Tuesday Dec. 7, iLeverage received several offers; the most compelling came from the licensing companies.

"We met with leaders of the medical monitoring market in the USA and in Europe with the hope that an operating company would acquire the patents, however due to the wide coverage of this portfolio and its relatedness to so many different companies, the patents were given the highest values by licensing companies – a natural result from an economic standpoint," said Uzi Aloush, iLeverage's CEO.
