BETHLEHEM, Pa., Nov. 15, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Improving staff efficiency and providing greater safety for renal therapy patients, B. Braun Medical Inc. (B. The 1100g Solcart B cartridge touts the highest volume capacity of any B. Braun Solcart B bicarbonate cartridge, which until now had a maximum volume of 760 grams. In addition to being more economical and producing less waste, the larger size cartridge will allow Solcart B to be used for patients requiring customized therapies.

"B. Braun is adding the 1100g Solcart B cartridge for Dialog+ Hemodialysis Systems to provide customers with a cartridge ideal for customized therapies," said Samuel Amory, Vice President, Medical Technology Division for B. Braun Medical Inc. "The Dialog+ Hemodialysis System continues to incorporate greater convenience for both clinicians and renal therapy patients through advanced products like the 1100g Solcart B cartridge."

The Solcart B cartridge with sodium hydrogen carbonate powder for hemodialysis is a practical alternative to liquid alkaline bicarbonate hemodialysis concentrate and central mixing systems. Benefits include easy piercing, a design for convenient storage prior to use and a user friendly design.
