Awarepoint Announces RTLS in Healthcare Leadership with 2010 Results

SAN DIEGO, Jan. 28, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Awarepoint Corporation, a privately held San Diego-based corporation, today announced it ended 2010 with 91 hospital sites contracted consisting of 45,062,013 million square feet of real-time location system (RTLS) network coverage in U.S. hospitals and 135,265 healthcare assets under management. Today, Awarepoint represents the largest enterprise-wide U.S. hospital client base for RTLS in healthcare market segment.

These results represent a 30% increase in contracted hospitals, 50% increase in square feet of RTLS network coverage, and a 58% increase in healthcare asset tags under management by Awarepoint from 2009 year-end figures. Additionally, revenue growth exceeded 100% for the third year in a row.

Awarepoint is a full RTLS solution provider, including hardware, SaaS delivered software, pro-active network maintenance, account management, and consulting services.
