Arigene Co., Ltd. Announces Termination of Tender Offer To Purchase and Return of Validly Tendered Shares of Common Stock of Trimeris, Inc.

Trimeris has filed with the SEC and mailed to Trimeris stockholders, a solicitation/recommendation statement on Schedule 14D-9, as amended. These documents contain important information about the tender offer and the merger and stockholders of Trimeris are urged to read them carefully in their entirety, as well as any amendments or supplements to these documents, including the amendment to the Schedule TO filed with the SEC on December 29, 2009 regarding the termination of the tender offer. These materials were sent free of charge to all stockholders of Trimeris. Investors and security holders are also able to obtain free copies of the tender offer statement, the tender offer solicitation/recommendation statement and other documents filed with the SEC by Arigene and Trimeris through the web site maintained by the SEC at www.sec.gov.
