WARSAW, Ind., Nov. 3, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Zimmer Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: ZMH; SIX: ZMH) today introduced the inViZia Anterior Cervical Plate System at the 26th North American Spine Society Annual Meeting in Chicago, IL. The system features a generous graft window and narrow waist providing clinicians with clear and direct visualization during implant placement. The plate also has a low profile (less than 2mm) which clinical literature suggests is one of the factors that may reduce post-operative dysphagia.
The inViZia System is designed for anterior screw fixation of the cervical spine. The system is intended for use in the temporary stabilization of the anterior spine during the development of cervical spinal fusions in patients with degenerative disc disease, trauma, tumors, deformity, pseudoarthrosis and failed previous fusions.
