Yaz Settlement Funding News: 10K Cases Still Not Settled
Date:10/22/2013

NEW YORK, Oct. 22, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Legal-Bay, The Lawsuit Settlement Funding Company, reported today that there still remains close to 10,000 Yaz and Yasmin Birth Control lawsuits still active in the court system.  Although it has been widely reported that Bayer Healthcare Pharmaceuticals Inc. have settled thousands of Yaz and Yasmin suits for over $1Bil at this point, and the average settlement amount for those cases were approximately $220K, there still remains many women victims patiently waiting for their money.

However, Legal-Bay Funding –which is a mass tort plaintiff advocate firm assisting individuals with receiving lawsuit cash advances today on their suit prior to settlement- believes that the average settlement amount may be slightly higher going forward.  "It seems to us that we are starting to see higher settlement amounts where injuries are more severe; some of our clients have settled some of their cases close to $500K," said Patty Kirby, Head of Client Relations at Legal-Bay.  "With the recent delays in clients receiving funds, we have been getting an influx of Yaz lawsuit funding applications to our Yaz and Yasmin web page," added Ms. Kirby.  http://lawsuitssettlementfunding.com/yaz-yasmin-lawsuit-settlement-funding.php

Legal-Bay reports that many of their clients are frustrated that the settlements have not come faster, especially now that the holiday season is approaching.  Legal-Bay has been active assisting women who have been injured by both Yaz and Yasmin; as well as other birth control products such as Ocella and NuvaRing with obtaining Pre-settlement lawsuit funding on their active case.
