DENVER, July 24, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The healthcare industry continues to be divided regarding mandatory influenza vaccinations for those working in healthcare. This national controversy has resulted in well-known groups taking sides.

The Immunization Action Coalition's website includes recommending statements from organizations such as AAFP, AAP, ACP, AHA, AMDA, and APHA.  Other organizations OSHA, NNU, and AAPS, oppose but encourage voluntary compliance, and believe there is insufficient scientific evidence to support a mandate, citing limitations using our current vaccine technology and ongoing multiple strains.

Whatever the latest opinion or recommendation, healthcare workers are gearing up for mass flu vaccination events. Many have mandatory Flu programs in their clinics or hospitals.
