The day's program includes featured speakers from the FDA and FCC, as well as a panel with bipartisan Congressional staff discussing relevant priorities for this year, including their thoughts on issues impacting the FDA, innovation, and the wireless health sector. HCI–DC will provide a full day of unprecedented interaction with government stakeholders, entrepreneurs, researchers and industry leaders.  To ensure engaging discussions and high quality networking opportunities, the event is limited to 300 attendees. The event will be webcast live at www.hcidc.org for those who are unable to attend in person.

"Following the success of our inaugural event last October, our goal for HCI-DC 2011 is to bridge the gaps between industry and government to foster innovation and accelerate low-cost health care solutions, particularly in wireless health and telehealth," said Joseph Smith MD, PhD, Chief Medical and Science Officer for West Wireless Health Institute. "We are very encouraged by the momentum of the current dialogue and are hopeful that this meeting will drive engagement and understanding to accelerate the pace of meaningful healthcare innovation targeted at the cost of care."
