WPI Holdings Acquires Wilmington Medical Supply Inc.

OCEANSIDE, N.Y., Oct. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- WPI Holdings d/b/a Woodbury Health Products ("Woodbury"), a portfolio company of HealthEdge Investment Partners, LLC ("HealthEdge"), announced today that it has completed the acquisition of Wilmington Medical Supply Inc. ("WMS").

Based in Wilmington, North Carolina and founded in 1993, WMS is a distributor of home medical supplies and equipment, primarily focused on urological catheters and sterile kits.  With a client base of over 700 customers, WMS coordinates the shipment of specialty medical supplies and acts as a resource for caregivers, patients, healthcare professionals and medical facilities, enabling clients to access hundreds of medical supplies in a convenient manner.

According to Woodbury CEO Brian Darling, "We are excited about this acquisition and its strategic fit with Woodbury Health Products. Woodbury Health Products is a direct to consumer distributor of high quality incontinence products to customers in the United States. Incontinence is the lack of voluntary control of excretory functions and may be a permanent or temporary condition. The Company also sells gloves, creams, wipes, and other products required by their target customers. Woodbury maintains approximately 30,000 square feet of office and warehouse space in Oceanside, New York and also has a distribution center in South Florida.
