WIN-911 Used in Nine of Ten Top US Cities

AUSTIN, Texas, Nov. 12, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- According to research performed by WIN-911, the most widely-used alarm notification software in the world for the automation industry, their software can be found monitoring water and wastewater treatment facilities in nine of the top ten most populous cities in the United States. WIN-911 is used in municipal departments in New York, Los Angeles, Houston, Philadelphia, Phoenix, San Antonio, San Diego, Dallas and San Jose.

"The only water and wastewater department without WIN-911 is Chicago and we're hoping to develop a relationship with their municipal personnel," said Frank Grygier, WIN-911's vice president of strategic relationships. "Municipalities find WIN-911's easy integration with their SCADA systems and other process controls, reliable and secure communications channels and intelligent decision engine meet the needs and constraints of managing a large public service organization."

Water services departments in major cities need to monitor the sophisticated control systems in multiple facilities for alarms and require the ability to notify department personnel in the event of an emergency. Finding a secure solution for early notification from a dedicated provider is a key component in meeting the efficiency goals and water standards set by city management and operating permits.

WIN-911 was recently at WEFTEC®, the Water Environment Federation's Annual Technical Exhibition and Conference, in Chicago and had a chance to meet with several of the current users of their alarm notification software, including staff from many of the top metro areas in the country. WIN-911 is employed in combination with existing control software or SCADA systems to monitor operations and notify personnel of problem conditions. With WIN-911, operations personnel can concentrate on other tasks while your computer system does the monitoring.
