VetCentric Receives Vet-VIPPS Certification from NABP
Date:5/5/2010

GLEN BURNIE, Md., May 5 /PRNewswire/ -- VetCentric, Inc., the nation's largest vet-sponsored provider of home delivery of prescription medications and veterinary therapeutic and wellness diets, today announced they have been awarded Veterinary Verified Internet Pharmacy Practice Sites (VIPPS) certification from the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP). Vet-VIPPS is recognized as a fully independent, unbiased program by both the FDA and the AVMA, designed to equip veterinarian clinics and pet owners with the means to identify online pharmacies that are properly licensed and comply with state and local laws and regulations. VetCentric is the first and only vet-sponsored home delivery pharmacy to be awarded Vet-VIPPS certification.

"Vet-VIPPS certification reinforces our commitment to the Veterinarian-Client-Patient Relationship (VCPR) and we are extremely proud and excited to now display the Vet-VIPPS shield," said Ted Root, CEO at VetCentric. "The Vet-VIPPS program truly embodies our core business principles and our dedication to provide unsurpassed quality, convenience, and nationwide compliance to the U.S. companion animal industry."

VetCentric passed an extremely comprehensive NABP evaluation program that included a physical inspection of their Glen Burnie, MD facility, and a thorough examination of all the pharmacy's policies, procedures, and quality control systems. VetCentric is now the only Vet-VIPPS-certified pharmacy that maintains 100% manufacturer support while working directly with vet clinic partners. Vet-VIPPS certification gives VetCentric clients the peace of mind that all personal information is protected, all prescriptions are reviewed and filled only by a licensed pharmacist, and all medications are properly stored and dispensed in full compliance of all state and federal regulations.
