Veran Medical Technologies Welcomes New Member to its Board of Directors

ST. LOUIS, Nov. 18, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Veran Medical Technologies announced today that Curt Hartman, former Chief Financial Officer at Stryker Corporation, was appointed to the company's Board of Directors.

Mr. Hartman is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Devicor Medical Products, a global medical products company located in Cincinnati, Ohio. Previously, Mr. Hartman held a number of positions of increasing responsibility during a 22-year career with Stryker Corporation. During his tenure he spent four years as the chief financial officer for the $8.7 billion company, preceded by nine years as President of the Stryker Instruments Division. Prior to joining Stryker he served in the United States Army as a helicopter pilot.

Mr. Hartman received a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan, and completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard.

In addition to Curt Hartman, Veran's Board of Directors consists of Gregory R. Johnson (chairman), David Adair, M.D., Bob Paulson, Jason Pesterfield and Ajit Shah.
