United Spinal's UsersFirst Mobilizes Wheelchair Users to Demand Access to Essential Mobility Equipment

NEW YORK, March 4, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- United Spinal Association's grassroots advocacy program, UsersFirst has developed a new Mobile Registration Form to rally wheelchair users and disability advocates in the fight to challenge disability policies and improve access to mobility equipment.

The form will help UsersFirst mobilize wheelchair users, when needed, to address private, state and federal policy issues through timely alerts.

"We developed the form to make it easier to join UsersFirst's grassroots movement to improve access to wheelchairs and other mobility equipment that are essential to the health and independence of Americans living with disabilities," says Ann Eubank , UsersFirst vice president of Community Initiatives.

New registrants will also be offered education and support regarding the process of getting the best wheelchair to match their medical needs and lifestyle.

UsersFirst will introduce the Mobile Registration Form at the 2013 International Seating Symposium (ISS), an annual conference taking place March 5-9 in Nashville, TN, where therapists and clinical professionals gather annually to discuss advancements in the areas of seating, positioning and mobility.
