United Spinal Creates UsersFirst Mobility Map: First On-line Tool for Wheelchair Consumers

NEW YORK, March 15, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- United Spinal Association's consumer wheelchair support program, UsersFirst, has created Mobility Map, an on-line, easy to read tool to guide, educate, and empower wheelchair consumers through the entire service delivery process of seating and wheeled mobility.

The free Mobility Map is the only tool of its kind to help navigate what is often a confusing and complicated process when purchasing wheelchair equipment that works best for each consumer.

Mobility Map also provides up-to-date information about specific policies and legislative issues, as well as offers a forum for the wheelchair consumer to take action.

"The UsersFirst program brings together the voices of consumers, clinicians and wheelchair suppliers while focusing on the empowerment of the consumer," said UsersFirst executive director Ann Eubank.

"As a community we will be more successful in creating positive policy change by partnering with the authentic voice of the consumer," she added.

The UsersFirst Mobility Map features feedback opportunities on each page so that content can continue to meet the needs of those who utilize this interactive map.
