Unetixs Vascular Announces Partnership with SuperSonic Imagine
Date:2/26/2015

NORTH KINGSTOWN, R.I., Feb. 26, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Unetixs Vascular Inc, the global leader in providing noninvasive peripheral vascular physiologic testing solutions, today announced a partnership with SuperSonic Imagine (Euronext: SSI, FR0010526814), the highly innovative medical imaging company that invented ShearWave™ Elastography and UltraFast Doppler to bring SuperSonic Imagine's technology to more customers in the vascular market.

Unetixs SSI Aixplorer Ultrasound System combines exceptional image quality and UltraFast Doppler to deliver powerful performance across a breadth of vascular applications. While conventional ultrasound Doppler requires two separate exams for imaging and measurement, the Unetixs SSI Aixplorer Ultrasound System's UltraFast Doppler goes beyond the limits of traditional systems by combining Color Flow Imaging and Pulsed Wave Doppler into one simple exam.

"SuperSonic Imagine's award-winning technology is a significant addition to our portfolio of noninvasive vascular solutions," said Neeraj Jha, CEO of Unetixs Vascular. "Their highly innovative ultrasound system will provide incredible value to our customers that are in need of a fast, reliable ultrasound solution for performing vascular exams."

Kurt Kelln, Chief Business Officer and Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing at SuperSonic Imagine, noted: "Together, we and Unetixs will provide significant value and expertise to the vascular market, the fourth largest ultrasound segment in the United States. This partnership expands our presence and positions us for future growth as we continue to develop unique clinical solutions."

Unetixs' product line consists of noninvasive vascular testing equipment such as the Revo® 1100 and its 5-minute Quick ABI solution and the MultiLab® Series–technologically advanced systems that continue to enjoy global market leadership. Hospitals and vascular specialists typically use the company's advanced systems while physician and podiatrist offices prefer the company's self-contained, low-cost diagnostic stations.

Ultimately, the goal of these diagnostic systems and accessories is to detect peripheral arterial disease (PAD), a condition that affects millions of people in the United States. Risk factors for PAD include smoking, older age, and diseases or conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure.

Unetixs Vascular, Inc., a group company of Opto Circuits (India) Ltd., was founded in R.I., in 1988.
