SALT LAKE CITY, April 16, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- USANA Health Sciences Inc. (NYSE: USNA), a worldwide nutrition company, wrapped up its 13-week weight-loss challenge on April 7. More than 17,000 pounds were shed by people from the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand as part of USANA's Destination Transformation: RESET Challenge.

USANA started the RESET Challenge to motivate product users and help them get in shape for 2013 by challenging them to shed the extra pounds. Thirty-three grand-prize winners will receive a variety of medical and spa treatments at the Sanoviv Medical Institute, which offers alternative, holistic and integrative health programs. The institute is located in sunny Mexico. Winners will also receive shopping sprees, makeovers and participate in a photo shoot. Overall, more than $300,000 in prizes will be awarded.
A grand total of 17,658 pounds were lost among the participants during the challenge.
Through USANA's RESET, numerous individuals have created their own challenges and success stories. USANA Associate Mikel Ann Hall lost 75 pounds using USANA's RESET program, maintaining an active lifestyle and recently completed her first Ironman triathlon.
