"We've pulled together an exciting list of comprehensive content topics that encompass everything from materials to medical device equipment design to outsourcing," stated Rich Nass, Director of Content for the UBM Canon medical device publishing group. "We are proud to offer these content-rich, topic specific online events that allow our audience to interact with thought-leaders and industry experts, and discuss medical device trends and advances. These are topics that appeal to a global audience, and thanks to the advancements made in virtual events, designers can participate from anyplace in the world."

The next upcoming virtual event, Developments in Materials for Medical Applications, on May 24, 2011, is hosted by EMDT, MD+DI, and Qmed, and is devoted to current and emerging innovations in medical product design and functionality. The UBM Canon Events Division also offers two MD&M Online events scheduled during the year. The MD&M Online events are presented in two editions (West and East), two days each and are focused on regional audiences. Just like the face-to-face MD&M Events, MD&M Online features an exhibit hall and conference program focused on the medical design life cycle. MD&M Online, West Edition, will take place on September 28-29, 2011, and MD&M Online, East Edition, occurs on December 14-15, 2011.

In addition to conference and sessions, UBM Canon medical device group virtual events also offer exhibition halls that house booths staffed by suppliers and service providers to the medical device industry. Booths will be equipped with white papers, videos, brochures, and live chat capabilities that provide implantable device OEMs with the opportunity to engage with suppliers and gather educational information.

All UBM Canon virtual events have tiered sponsorship opportunities available that include speaking and exhibiting opportunities. Event sponsors benefit from interacting with a targeted, interested audience, high-quality lead generation, and audience-engagement data. Sponsor branding is included in all attendee promotions that run across the brands hosting each event including online, print and e-newsletter products as well as on any promotions to UBM Canon's master data file of over 319,000 medical device professionals worldwide.
