U.S. Preventive Medicine Acquires Specialty Disease Management

DALLAS, Oct. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- U.S. Preventive Medicine(R) (http://www.USPreventiveMedicine.com) a company organizing and commercializing the market for proactive preventive health services, announced today the acquisition of Specialty Disease Management Services, Inc., a national provider of chronic condition and health management services based in Jacksonville, Fla. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The addition of Specialty Disease Management's leading-edge care management programs will enable U.S. Preventive Medicine to continue the expansion of its national network of integrated services and methodologies in the areas of preventive services, health benefits and chronic and complex disease management. To meet consumers and government demand for a larger focus on preventive medicine, U.S. Preventive Medicine is building a national brand of healthcare solutions by partnering with physicians, health systems, academic medical centers, government agencies and employers.
