Date:5/2/2013

VERNON HILLS, Ill., May 2, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Bridging the gap between instrumentation to treat pediatric and adult urology patients, Richard Wolf Medical Instruments Corp. introduces the U-Care line to treat smaller anatomy in cystoscopic and resection procedures. With this launch, Richard Wolf is now equipped with a complete product offering to treat patients of all sizes.

Released with great success in 2012 in Europe, the U-Care line provides the "in-between size" that addresses the difficulty of treating adolescent patients that have outgrown pediatrics, yet are too small for standard instruments. Its slim 2.7 mm diameter and extended length ensures complete examination without compromising the superb optics Richard Wolf customers expect.

"Typically, physicians have to choose between instrumentation that may be too large or too small for the patients they are treating. With this product, we are providing urologists the right size tools to perform these procedures for every patient," said Monica Sanders , Corporate Director of Marketing for Richard Wolf . "The benefits of right-sizing to the patient make the U-Care line a critical breakthrough in patient comfort and physician care."

Richard Wolf will showcase U-Care along with its new HD video system, advances in prostatic tissue morcellation and the only dual channel flexible ureteroscope on the market at the American Urological Association (AUA) conference May 4-8 in San Diego. (Booth #1833)
