Top Acupuncture Now Treating Respiratory Diseases at its Houston Clinic
Date:1/11/2019

According to research, acupuncture can quickly and effectively treat sinusitis, allergy, and asthma symptoms, and thanks to Top Acupuncture, people are now able to receive the respiratory treatment they need at its Houston clinic.

“We don’t just treat the symptoms or diseases. We focus on the root causes of imbalance as well. Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine can treat a wide range of conditions,” said Sylvia He, owner of Top Acupuncture, a company with memberships with the China General Chamber of Commerce USA and the Texas Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.

Symptoms of running nose, sneezing, watery, and itchy eyes that recur during specific parts of the year, especially spring and fall are a cause of suffering of a large part of the population in the United States. However, acupuncture is a well-documented form of treatment.

In fact, in a study published in the journal Annals of Internal Medicine, researchers examined 422 people who tested positive for allergies and had allergic nasal symptoms such as a runny nose and were treated with acupuncture. After two months, the researchers asked the patients about their symptoms and how much medication they used. The participants who received the acupuncture treatments showed a greater improvement than those who used traditional medicine.

He pointed out that Top Acupuncture views respiratory diseases and sinusitis, allergy, and asthma symptoms as a branch of an internal problem with the body’s organs that are out of balance and not functioning correctly.

An acupuncture treatment, according to He, will aim to correct the flow of energy in the body to target the underlying cause. This approach will not only relieve nasal symptoms but may also prevent them from returning. The first and most immediate effect that acupuncture has is of opening the nose, reducing congestion and relieving any pain or pressure in the sinuses. In many cases, people experience a significant reduction in such symptoms after the first treatment.

Acupuncture, He explained, is an ancient art that Chinese people have been using for thousands of years in treating all kinds of health-related problems.
