Thoratec Schedules Second Quarter Conference Call, Webcast

PLEASANTON, Calif., July 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Thoratec Corporation (Nasdaq: THOR), a world leader in device-based mechanical circulatory support therapies to save, support and restore failing hearts, today announced that it will report its operating results for the second quarter and first six months of fiscal 2010 on Thursday, July 29.

The company will hold a conference call to discuss its financial results and operating activities open to all interested parties at 1:30 p.m., Pacific Daylight Time (4:30 p.m., Eastern Daylight Time), Thursday, July 29, hosted by Gary F. Burbach, president and chief executive officer, and David V. Smith, executive vice president and chief financial officer.

The teleconference can be accessed by calling (719) 457-2617, passcode 7187547. Please dial in 10-15 minutes prior to the beginning of the call.
