Thoratec Presentation at Leerink Swann Healthcare Conference to be Webcast

PLEASANTON, Calif., Feb. 14, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Thoratec Corporation (NASDAQ: THOR), a world leader in device-based mechanical circulatory support therapies to save, support and restore failing hearts, said today it will be participating in the Leerink Swann 2012 Global Healthcare Conference on Thursday, February 16.

Taylor C. Harris, Senior Director of Investor Relations and Business Development, will provide an update on the company, beginning at 4:00 p.m., Eastern Standard Time (1:00 p.m., Pacific Standard Time).
