'The Global Leaders' Seek Solutions to Healthcare Crisis by Bringing Together Investors With CEOs in Healthcare, Biotech and Pharma
Date:11/22/2011

SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 22, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Healthcare is in crisis throughout the world, but an innovative forum will seek solutions by connecting health, biotech and pharmaceutical CEOs and other senior executives with institutional investors and business development executives.  The forum, "Eliminating the Gap between Innovation and Resources," will be held Tuesday, January 10, 2012, at San Francisco's historic Marines' Memorial Club, hosted by The Global Leaders, an international digital community of about 2 million CEOs and other C-level executives.

Topics will include matching innovation with capital, how to mitigate financial and regulatory risk, and the future of healthcare in a rapidly changing global market.

"The global healthcare systems are broken," said forum co-chair George Bickerstaff, CEO, The Global Leaders, and Former CFO, Novartis Pharma AG.  "There is a gap between innovators who need funding and investors who have money but seek innovation.  None of us can solve this alone.  We urgently need new leadership if we are going to provide a bright and healthy future for our children."

A brochure with event details is at: http://bit.ly/vYoC5w .

To register: http://tglhealthcaresymposium.eventbrite.com/ .

The forum will provide a dialogue among industry experts through speeches, panels, interactive table discussions and informal networking.  Distinguished speakers include conference co-chair Dr. Margaret Liu, Vice Chairman, International Vaccine Institute; Harry Kraemer, Executive Partner, Madison Dearborn; and  Myrtle Potter, founder, Myrtle Potter & Co.  Evening activities include a reception and dinner sponsored by CTPartners and featuring speakers Dr. Molly Coye, Chief Innovation Officer, UCL Health Systems; John Figueroa, CEO of Omnicare; and Mark Sirangelo
