The Foundation for Women's Cancer to Host 6th Annual Race for Awareness at Arlington Park

CHICAGO, Aug. 1, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- The Foundation for Women's Cancer, in partnership with WeRoc (Women Encouraging Research of Ovarian Cancer), will be holding its annual fundraising event on Sunday, September 22, 2013 at Arlington Park Racecourse. 

The Foundation for Women's Cancer is a national non-profit organization headquartered in Chicago.  The Foundation's mission is to support research, education and public awareness of gynecologic cancer prevention, early diagnosis and optimal treatment. To fulfill its mission, the Foundation develops and implements a variety of programs and initiatives that are helping women learn steps they can take to prevent and mitigate risk from cancers unique to them. A national organization dedicated to the eradication of all reproductive cancers, the Foundation has provided more than $5 million in research funding since 1995, earning recognition from Worth Magazine as one of the nation's 100 best charities.

Tickets for the event must be purchased in advance and are $120 each if purchased before September 3rd, and $130 if purchased after September 3rd.  Ticket includes chef's table buffet, open bar (beer and wine), silent auction, private betting and more!  The event will start at 12:00 pm and will take place in the Governor's Room (the dress code is business causal and will be strictly enforced).  All proceeds will benefit the Foundation for Women's Cancer and will be directed towards research and awareness for ovarian cancer.  Any donations/contributions made to the Foundation for Women's Cancer are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
