The CementBloc Wins One Gold and Two Silvers at the 2012 Rx Club Show Advertising Awards
Date:12/3/2012

NEW YORK, Dec. 3, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The CementBloc, the second-largest independent, multichannel health and wellness creative agency in the United States, was recognized out of a field of 130 agencies from around the world with eight wins at the Rx Club Show Advertising Awards this past Wednesday night at the Metropolitan Pavilion in New York, NY. The CementBloc was awarded a Gold Award for Best Integrated Campaign, two Silver Awards for Best Integrated Campaign and Best Consumer Website, and five Certificates of Excellence. The Rx Club Show is a premier event sponsored by the healthcare industry trade publication Pharmaceutical Executive that annually recognizes top creative and advertising promotions within the pharmaceutical industry.

The Gold Award was given in recognition of the agency's work for GROW SOLE. The GROW SOLE Project is a collaboration between the Coore Foundation and The CementBloc that encourages people to donate their gently used shoes of all sizes, which are then sent to girls and boys in developing countries. The GROW SOLE Project merged the idea of shoes and soulfulness in true 360-degree fashion, appearing on posters, print ads, postcards, ambient media, and giant shoe donation bins around the world.

The CementBloc also received two Silver Awards for their work on Celgene's "Pledge to Fight Forward" multichannel campaign, raising support and awareness for women suffering from metastatic breast cancer. The centerpiece of the campaign is a website that doubles as an online community. Through the site, visitors are able to pledge to keep an optimistic spirit by sending inspirational e-cards to those touched by the illness and follow the growth of support as seen by pledges from others around the country.

"It's truly inspiring to be able to create ideas that can make a meaningful difference in the lives of our customers. It's even more so when you are recognized by your industry for them," sa
