The Apothecary Shops Receives Exclusive Distribution Rights for Mitosol®

PHOENIX, Feb. 17, 2012 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Apothecary Shop Wholesale, Inc., an affiliate of The Apothecary Shops Specialty Pharmacies, has received exclusive distribution rights from Mobius Therapeutics, LLC for its new drug Mitosol® (mitomycin for solution) 0.2 mg/vial Kit for Ophthalmic Use.

The Mitosol® Kit for Ophthalmic Use provides ophthalmic surgeons a new means of delivering a precise dose of its active ingredient, mitomycin-c, for use in glaucoma surgical procedures, without requiring a change to existing surgical technique.   Last week, Mitosol® was approved by the Food and Drug Administration for use in as an antimetabolite indicated  as an adjunct to ab externo glaucoma surgery.
