Technology Innovation Provides Catalyst for Scientific Breakthroughs in Precision Medicine at World Molecular Imaging Congress

CULVER City, Calif., Sept. 16, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Leading companies in molecular imaging, life sciences, in vivo diagnostics, and the biotechnology and medical device industries will be showcasing state-of-the-art technologies and products at 6th World Molecular Imaging Congress (WMIC) in Savannah, GA September 18 – 21, 2013.  Combined with scientific breakthroughs in molecular imaging being presented at the WMIC, this innovation serves as a catalyst for advances in diagnostics and targeted therapy that support precision medicine.

Product introductions will include new contrast agents that can be used for both diagnostic and treatment guidance applications, imaging modalities, an open platform for preclinical ultrasound research and a preclinical microCT scanner.  Other innovations to be featured at WMIC include the demonstration of how mass spectrometry molecular imaging can be used for the identification and localization of the molecular products of all living cells. Several of the new developments and findings by these companies will be featured in nearly 50 clinical talks and posters presented at the Congress.
