TechTeam Global Appoints Life Sciences Services Director
Date:2/9/2010

SOUTHFIELD, Mich., Feb. 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- TechTeam Global, Inc., (Nasdaq: TEAM), a worldwide provider of information technology outsourcing and business process outsourcing services, announced today that it has named Guido Roumans as director of global life sciences services. Roumans will be responsible for service delivery, relationship management and ongoing capability enhancement in support of TechTeam's life sciences customers.

Roumans has nearly 20 years of experience in the life sciences industry, most recently serving as the life sciences and pharma research and development (R&D) leader for southwest Europe with IBM Global Business Services. In that position, he conducted multiple information management projects assisting global pharmaceutical companies in implementing new technologies and processes within their R&D organizations. His experience includes a variety of management positions in global pharmaceutical clinical development re-engineering, clinical IT system development and implementation, and multinational pharmaceutical market research. Roumans' work within pharmaceutical R&D includes in-depth collaboration with clinical trial sponsors and investigators regarding the organization and implementation of clinical trials.

"Guido's depth of experience, global perspective and expertise in IT and process improvement in the pharmaceutical sector will bring significant value to TechTeam and our customers," said Chris Donohue, general manager of TechTeam's global life sciences business unit. "I look forward to working with Guido as we continue to enhance and expand our services for customers in this industry."

TechTeam has supported the life sciences industry for more than 10 years and established its global life sciences business unit in 2009. The business unit ensures high-quality delivery and continuous improvement of TechTeam's eClinical support services, as well as the alignment of its broader IT outsourcing services with the unique needs of the life sciences industry. The company currently provides technical support for more than 500 clinical trials, in 24 languages, across 25,000 sites worldwide. Last year, TechTeam partnered with the eClinical Forum to conduct a global study on electronic data capture (EDC) use in clinical trials. Preliminary results from that study were presented in October at the Drug Information Association's Clinical Forum in Nice, France, with final results expected to be available by mid-2010.

"I am excited to join TechTeam and look forward to helping the global life sciences team provide our customers with best-in-class services," said Roumans. "Further, I look forward to partnering with our customers to ensure that we continue to advance our capabilities, and indeed help provide the true innovation and thought leadership that they need for long-term success."
