Talyst Signs Vendor Agreement With H. D. Smith to Provide Quality- and Patient Safety-Enhancing Pharmacy Automation Solutions

BELLEVUE, Wash., April 13, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Talyst, Inc., a leader in pharmacy automation, announced a vendor agreement with H. D. Smith, the fourth largest national pharmaceutical wholesaler, to provide the Company with leading pharmacy automation technology for its acute and extended care customers.  

As the healthcare and pharmacy industries undergo major market demand shifts, H. D. Smith continues to provide tools that help anticipate these changes. The partnership with Talyst will further aid H. D. Smith in its proactive approach to anticipating its customers' needs and continue its goal of delivering high-quality solutions to its customer base.

Talyst's pharmacy automation technology provides additional controls and inventory tracking within the pharmacy and gives a foundation for improving patient safety through barcode administration at the patient's bedside. Distribution of Talyst's technology will benefit pharmacies and facilities across all of H. D. Smith's national distribution.
