TCS Healthcare Technologies Releases Three New Clinical Care Programs Within ACUITY

n considering the comprehensiveness of each care program versus the cost that we would have to pay to develop them on our own." She adds further that "AcuCare Programs are a practical solution for our care managers. Prairie States Enterprises will take advantage of the underlying functionality of ACUITY which includes automatic triggers for follow-up actions and the integration of AcuCare with the CMAG assessment and reporting tool to help determine an individual's readiness for change."

In addition to the three new AcuCare Programs, the ACUITY system includes a similar General Health and Wellness Program as part of the core package. This Care Program can be used in conjunction with a disease-specific program or by itself to focus on goals related to caretaking, depression, diet and nutrition, fitness and exercise, knowledge and adherence, motivation, and smoking cessation.

"AcuCare Programs are a total package of pre-defined, ready-to-use clinical assessments, leveling tools, care plans, educational fact sheets, letters, and reports that allow users to efficiently identify and track everything that is going on with a person who is part of a case management, disease management, or prevention/wellness program," remarks Pat Stricker, RN, MEd, Vice President of Clinical Services at TCS Healthcare Technologies and who also headed up the team that developed AcuCare. She adds that "the launching of AcuCare within ACUITY undoubtedly will become a critical resource that nurses, physicians and others can use on a daily basis to effectively manage and help patients. In addition, AcuCare supports a myriad of quality- based initiatives such as NCQA and URAC accreditation standards, HEDIS measures, patient safety goals, and best practice programs."

Clinical research references are provided throughout the AcuCare Programs. AcuCare can be further customized to meet each organization, clinician or participant's unique needs. In addition the General Health and W
