HILLSBOROUGH, N.J., Nov. 9, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Systech International®, innovator of Packaging Execution Systems (PES) for the pharmaceutical industry and Vantage Consulting Group (VCG), a leading systems engineering, automation and manufacturing optimization services company, today announced the designation of VCG as a Systech Select U.S. Service Provider (SSP). VCG will now sell, install and support Systech's Serialized Product Tracking (SPT) solution in the United States.
The SSP program is a direct response to the needs of pharmaceutical manufacturers who are implementing Systech SPT as a key component of their global serialization strategies. As a SSP, Vantage will offer aid to customers in the deployment of their serialization initiatives based on Systech products.
"Through this strategic partnership, manufacturers can leverage the expertise of two leading companies, allowing them to effectively meet emerging U.S. track and trace initiatives," stated George Poltorak, CEO Vantage Consulting Group. "Systech SPT has already been implemented by top pharmaceutical manufacturers worldwide to address diverse global serialization requirements. Systech's proven solution, coupled with VCG's national support, will allow manufacturers to meet their immediate serialization requirements."
In 2009, California passed a law requiring the "tracking of manufacturing and consumption of medicine by means of data capturing, storing, and electronic transmission technology." In order to comply with these regulations, local and multinational pharmaceutical companies serving the California market must deploy serialization solutions such as Systech SPT. SPT serializes products at the item, case and pallet levels. This system accurately accounts for numbers that have been assigned to packages and efficiently delivers precise serialization data to enterprise IT systems. Manufacturers can therefore maintain the data integrity required for track and trace initiatives without sacrificing line throughput.
"Adding serialization technology is a radical change for the packaging environment to handle," said Joe Ringwood, COO Systech International. "We have made this process easier for manufacturers by providing a productized solution that can be quickly installed line to line and plant to plant. What's more, SPT's configurability enables manufacturers to accommodate changes and respond to new demands while controlling total cost of ownership. Manufacturers leveraging VCG's professional installation services along with Systech's solution and customer support are best positioned to address today's evolving packaging challenges."
