Sysmex America Relocates Corporate Headquarters
Date:9/13/2012

MUNDELEIN, Ill., Sept. 13, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Sysmex America, Inc., the wholly-owned U.S. subsidiary of Sysmex Corporation, Kobe, Japan, today announces the relocation of the company's corporate offices to its new facility in Lincolnshire, Illinois.  This move follows the development of a virtual instructor-led training studio and the centralization of its logistics operations to a Buffalo Grove, Illinois facility in April 2012.  The company also retains extended operations at its reagent plant and its Mundelein, Illinois facilities.  Collectively, the sites serve as the headquarters for the Americas, which has oversight for the offices in Illinois, manufacturing reagent plants in Illinois and Brazil, a Miami office overseeing Latin America customer support and a Canadian subsidiary, Sysmex Canada, Inc.  Sysmex America employs more than 700 people, who are among the 5,000 plus associates worldwide that make up the Sysmex team of professionals.  Sysmex is a global leader in medical diagnostic testing equipment and information systems technology and services hospitals and healthcare networks, reference laboratories and physicians offices worldwide.

"We are pleased to celebrate the opening of the new headquarters of the Americas at our Lincolnshire location.  Our new building supports the infrastructure that our continued growth requires, as well as accommodates for future expansion. It is particularly gratifying to share this milestone with our associates, the state of Illinois, and our local communities of Lincolnshire, Buffalo Grove and Mundelein. This move, along with the recent expansion of our sales force, demonstrates our unwavering commitment to serving our clinical laboratory customers well as they seek hematology solutions to help them cost-effectively and efficiently navigate a difficult healthcare environment," said John Kershaw, President & CEO, Sysmex America, Inc.

The company's 162,000 square feet of additional space in Lincolnshire and 147,000 square feet in Buffalo Grove, Illinois, accommodates the company's continued growth and need for expansion.  Sysmex America's move follows the company's 1st quarter 2012 announcement regarding the expansion of its sales force to accommodate increased demand for Sysmex hematology, urinalysis and middleware offerings.
