Swissray Sells Another DR System to a Large Orthopedic Practice in Florida
Date:5/19/2011

EAST BRUNSWICK, N.J., May 19, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Swissray International, Inc., a leading manufacturer of direct digital Radiography (ddR) systems, announced today that they have sold another ddRFormula DR system to the Orthopedic Associates of Fort Walton Beach., Florida.

For more than a decade Swissray has been the pioneer and technology leader in the field of digital radiography (DR) serving hundreds of health care providers and patients with innovative and cost-effective DR solutions that emphasize excellence in image quality and lower radiation dose. Specialized orthopedic functionality such as distortion free image stitching and automated positioning has propelled Swissray to quickly expand its growing market share in Orthopedics.

According to Josh Laberee, Director of Operations, at Orthopedic Associates of Fort Walton Beach on the recent purchase of a second ddRFormula system, "Swissray DR is above and beyond the obvious choice for digital imaging; our medical office provides a wide variety and a high volume of imaging studies on a daily basis. The Swissray DR system is unmatched, images are instantly available for review, radiation exposure is minimal and for imaging a very high volume of patients the efficiency gains are outstanding." When asked, "Why was Swissray DR technology chosen over CR technology?" Laberee responded, "Swissray's ddRFormula provides such high resolution and excellent image quality that it is superior to what a CR X-ray system can provide.  Our Orthopedic Surgeons are able to find hairline fractures with Swissray DR images that they would never have seen on a processed CR image."
