Supply Chain Partner Provista Names Jim Cunniff New President And CEO
Date:5/6/2017

IRVING, Texas, May 5, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Provista, a proven leader in the supply chain industry since 1994 with more than 200,000 customers, today announced Jim Cunniff as the company's new president and CEO. Cunniff brings a wealth of executive and business experience to Provista, including most recently serving as the president and CEO of a compounding pharmacy in California. He assumed his new role with Provista on May 1, 2017.

"Jim is a great fit for Provista," says Jody Hatcher, president, Sourcing and Collaboration Services for Vizient, the parent company and a supply-contracting partner for Provista. "He has a rich and unique background that makes him the perfect candidate to identify and capitalize on emerging opportunities and to continue strengthening our non-acute business."

Cunniff succeeds Dan Thomas, who retired in May after holding the president and CEO position since 2011. As the new leader of Provista, Cunniff will continue to deepen the company's focus on non-acute providers and build on the supply chain partner's success in providing extraordinary service and industry-leading solutions to a diverse customer base.

"Provista has the people, resources, relationships, and rich portfolio of products and services to accelerate its growth in the non-acute marketplace," Cunniff said. "We are well positioned to transform our customers' challenges into business solutions."

Prior to joining Provista, Cunniff was the president and CEO of an FDA 503B registered outsourcing facility engaged in sterile drug compounding with a focus on ophthalmology and urology. He has also held leadership positions with healthcare suppliers, including Kinetic Concepts Inc., Stryker and Baxter Healthcare Corporation. He has overseen $1 billion commercial operations, implemented strategies to reach aggressive corporate goals and guided companies through dynamic industry disruptions that resulted in stronger, more robust businesses.
