SBS and HT Systems have signed an agreement for SBS to act as HT Systems exclusive agent to promote the PatientSecure® technology to clients in the Middle East region.

"There is a growing need in the Middle East region for providers to adopt the latest technology in patient identification systems to avoid duplicate medical records and ensure that the right care is given to the right patient", said Adel Eid Yousef, CEO SBS.

"Whether it is improving patient safety or controlling insurance fraud, healthcare organizations are now increasing their efforts to precisely identify the patient when they are registered into the hospital or visiting for outpatient treatment. The palm vein biometrics have been successfully used in many hospitals in the United States and very well received by patients as well as hospital staff," Adel added.

"The PatientSecure® technology has been adopted by more than 150 hospitals and 500 clinics across the United States, where over 5,000,000 patients have been biometrically enrolled with the application. This creates a one-to-one link between the patient and their unique medical record that is 100 times more unique than a fingerprint," explained Carl Bertrams, SVP HT Systems.

"We are looking forward to expanding our presence internationally and are happy to be working with SBS as our local service provider in the Middle East region," Carl said.
