St. Joseph Health System Selects Allscripts Care Management and Homecare Solutions

The St. Joseph Home Health Network's home health and hospice agencies across California and Texas will deploy the Allscripts Homecare solution, providing billing, scheduling, and an Electronic Health Record in a unified, seamless electronic system. During home visits, SJHS nurses will use the EHR to document patient care and compare their assessments from previous visits. They can also generate customized care plans and OASIS quality reports for Medicare.

"Allscripts Homecare is a business optimization tool that lets our staff quickly and easily perform everyday administrative and clinical tasks while rapidly scaling up to help us meet growing demand," said Linda Glomp, Executive Director of SJHS's Home Health Network.  "More importantly, though, the application supports our clinicians in the field by delivering the most relevant and up-to-date information at the point of care, so our patients benefit from the electronic connectivity."

SJHS's homecare agencies also will use the Allscripts Referral Management™ solution to review and respond to electronic referrals from SJHS and other hospitals, manage other tasks involved in the intake process, and ensure they quickly capture referred patients best suited for the care they provide.
