  • Tome SYNTHROID solo según lo indique su médico. No interrumpa el tratamiento o cambie la dosis que toma o la frecuencia sin que lo indique su médico.
  • Los agentes como los suplementos de hierro y calcio y los antiácidos pueden disminuir la absorción de los comprimidos de levotiroxina sódica. Por lo tanto, los comprimidos de levotiroxina sódica no deben tomarse dentro de las 4 horas de haber tomado estos agentes.
  • Tome una dosis única de SYNTHROID (comprimidos de levotiroxina sódica, USP) preferentemente en ayunas, de media hora a una hora antes de desayunar. La absorción de levotiroxina es mayor en ayunas.
  • Comunique a su médico si experimenta cualquiera de los siguientes síntomas: taquicardia, dolor torácico, disnea, calambres en las piernas, cefaleas, nerviosismo, irritabilidad, insomnio, temblores, cambio en el apetito, pérdida o aumento de peso, vómitos, diarrea, sudoración excesiva, intolerancia al calor, fiebre, cambios en la menstruación, urticaria o erupción cutánea, o cualquier otro acontecimiento médico inusual.
  • Notifique a su médico o a su dentista si está tomando SYNTHROID antes de una intervención quirúrgica
  • Después de que se haya establecido una respuesta estable, es importante realizarse análisis de laboratorio de seguimiento, según lo indique su proveedor de atención médica, al menos una vez por año.
