Simbionix signe un accord avec la fondation Laparoscopic Surgical Skills (LSS)

Simbionix et la fondation Laparoscopic Surgical Skills (LSS) ont signé un accord de collaboration qui est soutenu par la plus prestigieuse société européenne dans le domaine de la laparoscopie, l'Association européenne pour la chirurgie endoscopique (EAES).  Des documents de formation et des outils d'évaluation pour le cursus European Laparoscopic Skills résulteront de cette initiative.

Des rapports récents sur la sécurité et les performances de qualité chirurgicale émanant de l'Organisation mondiale de la santé et d'autres organismes soulignent le besoin urgent d'améliorer la formation, l'évaluation et l'accréditation pour les procédures chirurgicales dépendantes de la technologie telles que la laparoscopie. LSS est une initiative de l'Association européenne pour la chirurgie endoscopique (EAES) visant à fournir une norme pour les chirurgiens aux compétences (re)validées afin de pratiquer la chirurgie laparoscopique de manière sûre et efficace. LSS va au-delà des compétences de base et se concentre sur le maintien de la qualité des performances dans le cadre des procédures laparoscopiques.

Cet accord est une prolongation de la collaboration fructueuse de deux ans durant laquelle le programme LSS a été appliqué dans des centres de formation à travers l'Europe.  Il incorpore le Simbionix LAP Mentor dans le processus de définition et de validation de l'outil d'évaluation à base de critères et de l'évaluation clinique des performances des procédures indexées.
