Se crea en Taiwán la Tang Prize Foundation

TAIPEI, Taiwán, 28 de enero de 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- La Tang Prize Foundation se ha creado oficialmente en Taiwán. La fundación ha firmado un contrato con la institución de investigación más importante del país, Academia Sinica, que será responsable de la nominación y selección de los premios en cuatro categorías: desarrollo sostenible, ciencias biofarmacéuticas, sinología (excluyendo los trabajos literarios) y leyes legales. Al reconocer los trabajos más originales e influyentes en estos cuatro campos, se espera que el Tang Prize ayude a promocionar la investigación de primer nivel para mejorar el desarrollo humano.

La Tang Prize Foundation se creó por medio del doctor Samuel Yin con una donación de 3.000 millones de NT (unos 102.000.000 dólares estadounidenses). El doctor Yin explicó: "El establecimiento del Tang Prize ha sido uno de mis sueños más grandes. Espero que el premio inste a una mayor investigación que sea beneficiosa para el mundo y la humanidad, promoviendo la cultura de China y haciendo del mundo un lugar mejor".

Las cuatro categorías de premios son campos importantes para el desarrollo social futuro de la humanidad. La Tang Prize Foundation espera aumentar su atención en torno a estos campos de premios tanto en los círculos académicos como públicos, instando a los expertos a dedicarse a innovar la investigación en estos cuatro campos.
