Sanovia Selected to Deliver PA-Logic(TM) Pharmaceutical Prior Authorization Platform to HealthSpring

PHILADELPHIA, Oct. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Sanovia, a leading provider of pharmacy utilization management solutions, today announced that it has been selected by HealthSpring, Inc. to deliver its PA-Logic(TM) pharmaceutical prior authorization platform to HealthSpring, one of the largest Medicare Advantage coordinated care plans in the U.S. The selection reinforces Sanovia's leadership in delivering pharmaceutical prior authorization solutions that help its customers drive down administrative costs and drug spend by automating the prior authorization process for high cost pharmaceuticals including specialty drugs and injectibles.

HealthSpring will deploy Sanovia's web based PA-Logic(TM) to automate the prior authorizations for its Medicare Advantage and standalone prescription drug plan members. By automating a traditionally manual process, HealthSpring will more efficiently manage their pharmaceutical prior authorization process. The improvements brought by PA-Logic(TM)'s automated clinical pathways mean a marked improvement in processing turn-around time, consistency of decision making, and quality of the decisions being rendered. PA-Logic(TM) gives HealthSpring a comprehensive solution automating the entire pharmaceutical prior authorization process, from initial request to decision.
