Date:5/12/2011

LOUISVILLE, Colo., May 12, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- GHX today announced it has entered into a sales agreement with Medical Surgical Solutions, LLC, a provider of healthcare product-to-market strategy solutions, whereby Medical Surgical Solutions will sell the GHX Channel Intelligence product set. GHX is a healthcare technology company recognized for delivering innovative, creative solutions to the healthcare supply chain.

The GHX Channel Intelligence set that Medical Surgical Solutions will offer includes:

  • DataMerge™
  • DataCleanse™
  • DataValidate™
  • DataTrack™
  • Customer Master Cleanse

This suite of GHX Channel Intelligence products and services delivers normalized and cross referenced master data, including Wholesaler, Customer, Contract, Price and Unit of Measure. The resulting "clean master" data then helps enable Medical Surgical Solutions' and GHX's medical surgical manufacturer customers and prospects to manage their sales territories, contract performance, and distribution partners' chargeback.

"An agreement with GHX, an industry leader, is an important milestone in the growth of Medical Surgical Solutions. Through this agreement with GHX, we can immediately deliver a 360-degree view of the med-surg market to provide our customers with market and customer data analysis," said Jeffery Burgdoerfer, CEO, Medical Surgical Solutions. "These tools from GHX will help our customers achieve the cost savings and increase in sales and revenue they desire."

GHX provides solutions that help healthcare manufacturers and distributors make strategic decisions based on analysis of their business data. These solutions provide the tools business leaders need to:

  • Analyze market trends
  • Gain market insights
  • Align market demand and sales forecasting
  • Accurately determine distribution rebates and chargebacks
  • Accurately report sales regardless of channel for compensation and sales history
  • Segment current customers and potential customers by multiple dimensions

"Medical-surgical manufacturers are facing tremendous pressure to increase revenue while reducing waste so it is critical that they examine their business processes to identify cost-savings opportunities within their organizations," said GHX executive vice president, Marketing and Product Management, Derek Smith. "GHX Channel Intelligence solutions enable manufacturers to eliminate revenue leakage by improving data accuracy in the distributor chargeback and rebate process. With access to accurate supply chain data and greater visibility into distributed sales, manufacturers can reduce costly discrepancies, eliminate manual rework and optimize the performance of this key sales channel."
