SAN JOSE, California, 7 gennaio 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- SI-BONE, Inc. (San Jose, California), una società di dispositivi medicali pioniera nell'uso di iFuse Implant System®, dispositivo chirurgico a ridotta invasività (MIS) per la fusione dell'articolazione (SI) sacriliaca, ha annunciato oggi che iFuse Implant System è stato utilizzato in oltre 10.000 procedure e sono stati collocati oltre 29.000 impianti iFuse in pazienti in tutto il mondo. La procedura MIS è sempre più adottata a livello globale; oltre 700 chirurghi hanno eseguito la procedura iFuse negli Stati Uniti e in Canada e in 13 paesi europei, e si prevede che altri 4 paesi europei inizino presto a utilizzarla.  La fusione dell'articolazione SI a ridotta invasività è ora considerata la terapia standard[1] per i pazienti che soffrono di sacroileite degenerativa o di rotture dell'articolazione sacroiliaca e che non traggono beneficio dalla terapia conservativa, e l'impianto iFuse, con il suo profilo unico triangolare e il rivestimento con spray poroso al plasma di titanio (TPS), è senza dubbio leader di mercato.
