SAM Medical Products Offers Product Training at the Point of Care

WILSONVILLE, Ore., Oct. 30, 2012 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- SAM Medical Products is pleased to announce the launch of a new program to offer quick access to video training at the point of patient care for its SAM Splint product, used by medics around the world to immobilize orthopedic fractures and sprains in pre-hospital settings. By using a smart phone to scan a QR code printed on the splint product label, users access a short scenario-based training video demonstrating proper product use.  SAM Medical Products expects this new training to improve provider confidence and make it easier for field medical providers to attain training.  The 36" SAM Splint is the first product to incorporate a training video accessible directly from the product, through mobile phones, portable devices, iPads, and more. The video can be previewed at http://www.sammedical.com/splint-training-video.   Additional point of care video training products will follow in the coming months.
