Restrictive Compliance Environment Weakens Professional and Trade Relations Group Impact
Date:11/10/2011

CHAPEL HILL, N.C., Nov. 10, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Throughout the healthcare industry, compliance guidelines for pharma's interactions with external professional and trade relations (PTR) groups are tightening as increased regulations intensify scrutiny and budget constraints limit resources. As a result, the pace of activity cycles are slowing and more pressure is being placed on optimizing structure and operations.

Nearly 90% of pharma PTR groups feel compliance concerns will lead to more restrictions in how they interact with external organizations – a trend which will create even more challenges for bio-pharma and medical device companies to maintain efficiency while working within established guidelines. In addition, over one third of "future PTR issues" will focus on regulatory and compliance issues, according to "Professional & Trade Relations Excellence: Optimizing Group Structure & Operations," a new primary research study conducted by Best Practices, LLC.

Download a complimentary white paper at http:/www.best-in-class.com/rr1089htm that includes selected best practices drawn from extensive primary research with 26 PTR executives and managers from 25 leading bio-pharma and medical device companies.
