Resolute Health Incorporates Advanced Ventilator Technology for Enhanced Care of Patients Requiring Breathing Support
Date:9/3/2014

NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas, Sept. 3, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Resolute Health announced today that it acquired the latest patient ventilator technology, designed to provide respiratory support for acutely ill patients in the intensive care unit.

This new technology provides clinicians with a simple, safe and smart way to care for ventilated patients in the acute care setting.

The ventilator is designed to help clinicians move patients off mechanical ventilation as soon as possible. Patients on mechanical ventilation are often sedated to ease agitation and help them tolerate breath support and other medical interventions. The ventilator features advanced synchrony tools that help clinicians set the ventilator to adapt to their patients' unique needs and help provide the appropriate level of support throughout the breath.

"We are committed to ensuring our Resolute Health clinicians have the latest and best technologies so that they can provide optimal care for their patients," said Chase Unberhagen, Director of Respiratory Therapy at Resolute Health. "We are very excited that ICU patients at our facility will now have access to the Puritan Bennett™ 980 ventilator to help support their breathing, comfortably and safely."

"We are pleased that Resolute Health is partnering with us," said James E. Willett, vice president and general manager, Respiratory Solutions, Covidien. "Our ventilator provides clinicians with a simple, safe and smart way to care for patients."
