RNL BIO Co. Ltd. lämnar in IND-ansökan om att påbörja klinisk fas II-prövning av RNL-JointStem för artros i USA

GERMANTOWN, Maryland, 3 maj 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- RNL BIO, ett bioteknologiskt företag som arbetar med stamceller och strävar efter att göra autologa cellbehandlingar för olika degenerativa, ischemiska och andra indikationer tillgängliga på marknaden har annonserat att man har lämnat in en IND-ansökan (Investigational New Drug application) till den amerikanska livsmedels- och läkemedelsmyndigheten (FDA) om att få inleda kliniska prövningar av sitt stamcellspreparat som är framställt från fettvävnad, vid namn RNL-JointStem, för behandling av artros. Förutsatt att ansökan godkänns av FDA:s Centrum för utvärdering och forskning om biologiska läkemedel planerar RNL BIO att inleda sin dubbelblinda, randomiserade, jämförande kliniska fas II-prövning under det tredje kvartalet av 2013, i Sugarland, Texas. Dr. Jason Dragoo på Stanford University och Dr. David Alan Fisher på Indiana University agerade granskare och översåg framtagandet av det protokoll som nu utvärderas av FDA. Kliniska fas I- och fas II-prövningar av RNL-JointStem har redan genomförts under överseende av den sydkoreanska livsmedels- och läkemedelsmyndigheten (KFDA).
