Date:1/31/2011

READING, Pa., Jan. 31, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Rotational molder REMCON Plastics, Inc. affirmed their commitment to the company's strategic growth when they introduced Brian Martin as their new Director of Sales and Marketing last summer.

The announcement of Brian's addition to their management team comes on the heels of REMCON's industry-recognized breakthroughs and the introduction of their new Solutions Optimization Process geared to custom molding customers.

Brian graduated with a Mechanical Engineering degree in 1985 from the US Military Academy, West Point, NY. He is a combat veteran who led a field artillery unit during Desert Storm in 1990-91. In 2005 he earned his MBA from Wilmington College.

"Brian's broad market experience and proven success in complex manufacturing environments will help our customers get unique solutions to their needs and identify new opportunities," said Peter J. Connors, President.

Martin's resume speaks for itself:

  • National Account Manager at Nucor Corporation's American Buildings Company in Eufaula, AL, a $350 million custom-engineered metal building manufacturer.

  • National Sales Manager at Saint-Gobain / CertainTeed Corporation in Valley Forge, PA. P&L responsibility for $185 million annual sales while developing national big box store relationships.

  • Division General Manager at Handy & Harman in Middlesex, NJ, with medical device product applications and international sales management responsibilities prior to that.

Brian will continue as an adjunct instructor at Wilmington University Graduate School of Business. He teaches operations management, project management and strategic planning.
